Surah As-Saaffaat

اَلصّٰٓفّٰت

182 Ayaat مکیۃ

37:161

فَاِنَّكُمْ وَ مَا تَعْبُدُوْنَۙ(۱۶۱)

So neither you nor those you worship

But as for you, and that you serve,

37:162

مَاۤ اَنْتُمْ عَلَیْهِ بِفٰتِنِیْنَۙ(۱۶۲)

Can mislead anyone away from Him,

you shall not tempt any against Him

37:163

اِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ الْجَحِیْمِ(۱۶۳)

Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell.

except him who shall roast in Hell.

37:164

وَ مَا مِنَّاۤ اِلَّا لَهٗ مَقَامٌ مَّعْلُوْمٌۙ(۱۶۴)

"There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.)

None of us is there, but has a known station;

37:165

وَّ اِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الصَّآفُّوْنَۚ (۱۶۵)

"And we are truly those who stand in rows,

we are the rangers,

37:166

وَ اِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الْمُسَبِّحُوْنَ(۱۶۶)

And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him."

we are they that give glory.

37:167

وَ اِنْ كَانُوْا لَیَقُوْلُوْنَۙ(۱۶۷)

They used to say:

What though they would say,

37:168

لَوْ اَنَّ عِنْدَنَا ذِكْرًا مِّنَ الْاَوَّلِیْنَۙ(۱۶۸)

If we had the account of earlier people with us,

'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients,

37:169

لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ اللّٰهِ الْمُخْلَصِیْنَ(۱۶۹)

We would have been the chosen creatures of God."

then were we God's sincere servants.'

37:170

فَكَفَرُوْا بِهٖ فَسَوْفَ یَعْلَمُوْنَ(۱۷۰)

Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon.

But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know!

37:171

وَ لَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا الْمُرْسَلِیْنَۚۖ(۱۷۱)

Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, --

Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys;

37:172

اِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ الْمَنْصُوْرُوْنَ۪(۱۷۲)

That they would be helped,

assuredly they shall be helped,

37:173

وَ اِنَّ جُنْدَنَا لَهُمُ الْغٰلِبُوْنَ(۱۷۳)

And that certainly Our armies will be victorious.

and Our host -- they are the victors.

37:174

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتّٰى حِیْنٍۙ(۱۷۴)

So you ignore them for a time

So turn thou from them for a while,

37:175

وَّ اَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ یُبْصِرُوْنَ(۱۷۵)

And wait; they will come to know soon.

and see them; soon they shall see!

37:176

اَفَبِعَذَابِنَا یَسْتَعْجِلُوْنَ(۱۷۶)

Do they want to hasten Our punishment?

What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement?

37:177

فَاِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَآءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِیْنَ(۱۷۷)

When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned.

When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned!

37:178

وَ تَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتّٰى حِیْنٍۙ(۱۷۸)

So turn away from them for a time

So turn thou from them for a while,

37:179

وَّ اَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ یُبْصِرُوْنَ(۱۷۹)

And watch; they will come to know soon.

and see; soon they shall see!

37:180

سُبْحٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا یَصِفُوْنَۚ(۱۸۰)

Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him.

Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe!

37:181

وَ سَلٰمٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِیْنَۚ(۱۸۱)

So peace be on the messengers,

And peace be upon the Envoys;

37:182

وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِیْنَ۠(۱۸۲)

And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds.

and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being.
