اَلْحِجْر

99 Ayaat مکیۃ

15:41

قَالَ هٰذَا صِرَاطٌ عَلَیَّ مُسْتَقِیْمٌ(۴۱)

(To which God) said: "This way is right by Me.

15:42

اِنَّ عِبَادِیْ لَیْسَ لَكَ عَلَیْهِمْ سُلْطٰنٌ اِلَّا مَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْغٰوِیْنَ(۴۲)

No power shall you have over (all) My creatures except those who fall into error and follow you,

15:43

وَ اِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوْعِدُهُمْ اَجْمَعِیْنَ۫ۙ(۴۳)

For whom the ordained place is surely Hell,

15:44

لَهَا سَبْعَةُ اَبْوَابٍؕ-لِكُلِّ بَابٍ مِّنْهُمْ جُزْءٌ مَّقْسُوْمٌ۠(۴۴)

Which has several gates, and each gate is marked for every section of them."

15:45

اِنَّ الْمُتَّقِیْنَ فِیْ جَنّٰتٍ وَّ عُیُوْنٍؕ(۴۵)

Verily those who keep away from evil and follow the straight path shall be in the midst of gardens and springs of water.

15:46

اُدْخُلُوْهَا بِسَلٰمٍ اٰمِنِیْنَ(۴۶)

"Enter in peace and tranquility," (they will be told).

15:47

وَ نَزَعْنَا مَا فِیْ صُدُوْرِهِمْ مِّنْ غِلٍّ اِخْوَانًا عَلٰى سُرُرٍ مُّتَقٰبِلِیْنَ(۴۷)

We shall cast out any grudge they may have in their hearts. (There) they will sit on couches face to face like brothers together.

15:48

لَا یَمَسُّهُمْ فِیْهَا نَصَبٌ وَّ مَا هُمْ مِّنْهَا بِمُخْرَجِیْنَ(۴۸)

No weariness will come upon them, nor will they be sent away from there.

15:49

نَبِّئْ عِبَادِیْۤ اَنِّیْۤ اَنَا الْغَفُوْرُ الرَّحِیْمُۙ(۴۹)

Announce to My creatures that I am indeed forgiving and kind,

15:50

وَ اَنَّ عَذَابِیْ هُوَ الْعَذَابُ الْاَلِیْمُ(۵۰)

But My punishment is surely a painful one.

15:51

وَ نَبِّئْهُمْ عَنْ ضَیْفِ اِبْرٰهِیْمَۘ(۵۱)

Inform them about the matter of Abraham´s guests.

15:52

اِذْ دَخَلُوْا عَلَیْهِ فَقَالُوْا سَلٰمًاؕ-قَالَ اِنَّا مِنْكُمْ وَ جِلُوْنَ(۵۲)

When they came to him and said: "Peace," he answered: "Truly we are afraid of you."

15:53

قَالُوْا لَا تَوْجَلْ اِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلٰمٍ عَلِیْمٍ(۵۳)

"Have no fear," they said. "We bring you news of a son full of wisdom."

15:54

قَالَ اَبَشَّرْتُمُوْنِیْ عَلٰۤى اَنْ مَّسَّنِیَ الْكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُوْنَ(۵۴)

"You bring me the good news now," he said, "when old age has come upon me. What good news are you giving me then?"

15:55

قَالُوْا بَشَّرْنٰكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُنْ مِّنَ الْقٰنِطِیْنَ(۵۵)

"We have given you the happy tidings of a truth," they replied. "So do not be one of those who despair."

15:56

قَالَ وَ مَنْ یَّقْنَطُ مِنْ رَّحْمَةِ رَبِّهٖۤ اِلَّا الضَّآلُّوْنَ(۵۶)

"Who would despair of the mercy of his Lord," he answered, "but those who go astray."

15:57

قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ اَیُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُوْنَ(۵۷)

And asked them: "What matter, O angels, brings you here?"

15:58

قَالُوْۤا اِنَّاۤ اُرْسِلْنَاۤ اِلٰى قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِیْنَۙ(۵۸)

"We have been sent," they said, "to (punish) a sinful people,

15:59

اِلَّاۤ اٰلَ لُوْطٍؕ-اِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوْهُمْ اَجْمَعِیْنَۙ(۵۹)

"Except the family of Lot whom we shall save

15:60

اِلَّا امْرَاَتَهٗ قَدَّرْنَاۤۙ-اِنَّهَا لَمِنَ الْغٰبِرِیْنَ۠(۶۰)

"Other than his wife who, it is decreed, will remain with those who will stay behind."

15:61

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ اٰلَ لُوْطِ ﹰالْمُرْسَلُوْنَ ۙ(۶۱)

When the messengers came to the family of Lot,

15:62

قَالَ اِنَّكُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّنْكَرُوْنَ(۶۲)

He said: "You are people I do not know."

15:63

قَالُوْا بَلْ جِئْنٰكَ بِمَا كَانُوْا فِیْهِ یَمْتَرُوْنَ(۶۳)

"We have come to you with news," they said, "of what your people doubt;

15:64

وَ اَتَیْنٰكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَ اِنَّا لَصٰدِقُوْنَ(۶۴)

"Yet we bring to you the truth, and we are truthful.

15:65

فَاَسْرِ بِاَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِّنَ الَّیْلِ وَ اتَّبِـعْ اَدْبَارَهُمْ وَ لَا یَلْتَفِتْ مِنْكُمْ اَحَدٌ وَّ امْضُوْا حَیْثُ تُؤْمَرُوْنَ(۶۵)

"So leave with your family late in the night, yourself remaining in the rear, and let none turn back to look, and go where you will be commanded."

15:66

وَ قَضَیْنَاۤ اِلَیْهِ ذٰلِكَ الْاَمْرَ اَنَّ دَابِرَ هٰۤؤُلَآءِ مَقْطُوْعٌ مُّصْبِحِیْنَ(۶۶)

We issued this command to him, for they were going to be destroyed in the morning.

15:67

وَ جَآءَ اَهْلُ الْمَدِیْنَةِ یَسْتَبْشِرُوْنَ(۶۷)

Then came the people of the city, exulting at the news.

15:68

قَالَ اِنَّ هٰۤؤُلَآءِ ضَیْفِیْ فَلَا تَفْضَحُوْنِۙ(۶۸)

Said Lot: "These are my guests; do not put me to shame,

15:69

وَ اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَ لَا تُخْزُوْنِ(۶۹)

"And do not disgrace me. Have some fear of God."

15:70

قَالُوْۤا اَوَ لَمْ نَنْهَكَ عَنِ الْعٰلَمِیْنَ(۷۰)

"Did we not restrain you," they said, "from (entertaining) creatures from the outside world?"

15:71

قَالَ هٰۤؤُلَآءِ بَنٰتِیْۤ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ فٰعِلِیْنَؕ(۷۱)

"Here are my daughters," said Lot, "if you are so active."

15:72

لَعَمْرُكَ اِنَّهُمْ لَفِیْ سَكْرَتِهِمْ یَعْمَهُوْنَ(۷۲)

Verily by your life they were utterly confused in their (lustful) drunkenness.

15:73

فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّیْحَةُ مُشْرِقِیْنَۙ(۷۳)

So they were seized by the mighty blast at break of day;

15:74

فَجَعَلْنَا عَالِیَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَ اَمْطَرْنَا عَلَیْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّنْ سِجِّیْلٍؕ(۷۴)

And We turned the city upside down, and rained on them stones of hardened lava.

15:75

اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰیٰتٍ لِّلْمُتَوَسِّمِیْنَ(۷۵)

Herein are really signs for those who discern.

15:76

وَ اِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِیْلٍ مُّقِیْمٍ(۷۶)

This (city) lies on a road that still survives.

15:77

اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰیَةً لِّلْمُؤْمِنِیْنَؕ(۷۷)

Indeed there is a portent in this for those who believe.

15:78

وَ اِنْ كَانَ اَصْحٰبُ الْاَیْكَةِ لَظٰلِمِیْنَۙ(۷۸)

The dwellers of the Wood (near Midian) were also wicked.

15:79

فَانْتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْۘ-وَ اِنَّهُمَا لَبِاِمَامٍ مُّبِیْنٍؕ۠(۷۹)

So We punished them too. They are both situated by the highway, clearly visible.

15:80

وَ لَقَدْ كَذَّبَ اَصْحٰبُ الْحِجْرِ الْمُرْسَلِیْنَۙ(۸۰)

The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles;
