88 Ayaat مکیۃ

38:41

وَ اذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَاۤ اَیُّوْبَۘ-اِذْ نَادٰى رَبَّهٗۤ اَنِّیْ مَسَّنِیَ الشَّیْطٰنُ بِنُصْبٍ وَّ عَذَابٍؕ(۴۱)

Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress."

38:42

اُرْكُضْ بِرِجْلِكَۚ-هٰذَا مُغْتَسَلٌۢ بَارِدٌ وَّ شَرَابٌ(۴۲)

"Go swiftly to the spring," (We said). "This cold water is for bathing and for drinking."

38:43

وَ وَهَبْنَا لَهٗۤ اَهْلَهٗ وَ مِثْلَهُمْ مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَ ذِكْرٰى لِاُولِی الْاَلْبَابِ(۴۳)

We restored his family to him with others similar to them, as a blessing from Us and a reminder for men of wisdom. --

38:44

وَ خُذْ بِیَدِكَ ضِغْثًا فَاضْرِبْ بِّهٖ وَ لَا تَحْنَثْؕ-اِنَّا وَجَدْنٰهُ صَابِرًاؕ-نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُؕ-اِنَّهٗۤ اَوَّابٌ(۴۴)

"Take a handful of herbs," (We said to him), and apply and rub them, and do not make a mistake." We found him patient in adversity, an excellent devotee, always turning in repentance.

38:45

وَ اذْكُرْ عِبٰدَنَاۤ اِبْرٰهِیْمَ وَ اِسْحٰقَ وَ یَعْقُوْبَ اُولِی الْاَیْدِیْ وَ الْاَبْصَارِ(۴۵)

Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight.

38:46

اِنَّاۤ اَخْلَصْنٰهُمْ بِخَالِصَةٍ ذِكْرَى الدَّارِۚ(۴۶)

We distinguished them for the distinct remembrance of the abode (of the Hereafter).

38:47

وَ اِنَّهُمْ عِنْدَنَا لَمِنَ الْمُصْطَفَیْنَ الْاَخْیَارِؕ(۴۷)

They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight.

38:48

وَ اذْكُرْ اِسْمٰعِیْلَ وَ الْیَسَعَ وَ ذَا الْكِفْلِؕ-وَ كُلٌّ مِّنَ الْاَخْیَارِؕ(۴۸)

And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhu´l-Kifl. Every one of them is among the best.

38:49

هٰذَا ذِكْرٌؕ-وَ اِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِیْنَ لَحُسْنَ مَاٰبٍۙ(۴۹)

This is a commemoration. Surely for those who take heed for themselves is an excellent place of return --

38:50

جَنّٰتِ عَدْنٍ مُّفَتَّحَةً لَّهُمُ الْاَبْوَابُۚ(۵۰)

Gardens of Eden with gates open wide to them,

38:51

مُتَّكِـٕیْنَ فِیْهَا یَدْعُوْنَ فِیْهَا بِفَاكِهَةٍ كَثِیْرَةٍ وَّ شَرَابٍ(۵۱)

Where they will take their ease, calling for fruits in plenty, and for wine,

38:52

وَ عِنْدَهُمْ قٰصِرٰتُ الطَّرْفِ اَتْرَابٌ(۵۲)

With companions of modest look, the same in age, by their side.

38:53

هٰذَا مَا تُوْعَدُوْنَ لِیَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ(۵۳)

This is what is promised you for the Day of Reckoning.

38:54

اِنَّ هٰذَا لَرِزْقُنَا مَا لَهٗ مِنْ نَّفَادٍۚۖ(۵۴)

This is surely Our provision never-ending.

38:55

هٰذَاؕ-وَ اِنَّ لِلطّٰغِیْنَ لَشَرَّ مَاٰبٍۙ(۵۵)

This (for the virtuous); but for the transgressors the evil destination,

38:56

جَهَنَّمَۚ-یَصْلَوْنَهَاۚ-فَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ(۵۶)

Hell, in which they will burn. How vile a resting place!

38:57

هٰذَاۙ-فَلْیَذُوْقُوْهُ حَمِیْمٌ وَّ غَسَّاقٌۙ(۵۷)

There will be boiling water for them and cold, clammy, fetid drink to taste,

38:58

وَّ اٰخَرُ مِنْ شَكْلِهٖۤ اَزْوَاجٌؕ(۵۸)

And other similar torments.

38:59

هٰذَا فَوْجٌ مُّقْتَحِمٌ مَّعَكُمْۚ-لَا مَرْحَبًۢا بِهِمْؕ-اِنَّهُمْ صَالُوا النَّارِ(۵۹)

Here is a multitude rushing headlong with you. There is no welcome for them. They will roast in the fire.

38:60

قَالُوْا بَلْ اَنْتُمْ- لَا مَرْحَبًۢا بِكُمْؕ-اَنْتُمْ قَدَّمْتُمُوْهُ لَنَاۚ-فَبِئْسَ الْقَرَارُ(۶۰)

They will say: "In fact, it is you who will have no welcome. It is you who brought this upon us. What an evil place of rest!"

38:61

قَالُوْا رَبَّنَا مَنْ قَدَّمَ لَنَا هٰذَا فَزِدْهُ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا فِی النَّارِ(۶۱)

They will say: "O Lord, give him who has brought this upon us two times more the torment of Hell;"

38:62

وَ قَالُوْا مَا لَنَا لَا نَرٰى رِجَالًا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُمْ مِّنَ الْاَشْرَارِؕ(۶۲)

And will add: "O what has happened to us that we do not see the men we counted among the wicked.

38:63

اَتَّخَذْنٰهُمْ سِخْرِیًّا اَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ الْاَبْصَارُ(۶۳)

Did we laugh at them (for nothing), or our eyes fail to pick them out?"

38:64

اِنَّ ذٰلِكَ لَحَقٌّ تَخَاصُمُ اَهْلِ النَّارِ۠(۶۴)

This contending of the inmates of Hell will surely be real.

38:65

قُلْ اِنَّمَاۤ اَنَا مُنْذِرٌ ﳓ وَّ مَا مِنْ اِلٰهٍ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُۚ(۶۵)

Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent,

38:66

رَبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ وَ مَا بَیْنَهُمَا الْعَزِیْزُ الْغَفَّارُ(۶۶)

Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving."

38:67

قُلْ هُوَ نَبَؤٌا عَظِیْمٌۙ(۶۷)

Say: "This is a momentous message,

38:68

اَنْتُمْ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضُوْنَ(۶۸)

To which you pay no heed.

38:69

مَا كَانَ لِیَ مِنْ عِلْمٍۭ بِالْمَلَاِ الْاَعْلٰۤى اِذْ یَخْتَصِمُوْنَ(۶۹)

I had no knowledge of the higher Assembly when they discussed it among themselves.

38:70

اِنْ یُّوْحٰۤى اِلَیَّ اِلَّاۤ اَنَّمَاۤ اَنَا نَذِیْرٌ مُّبِیْنٌ(۷۰)

Only this has been revealed to me that I am a distinct warner.

38:71

اِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلٰٓىٕكَةِ اِنِّیْ خَالِقٌۢ بَشَرًا مِّنْ طِیْنٍ(۷۱)

When your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man from clay;

38:72

فَاِذَا سَوَّیْتُهٗ وَ نَفَخْتُ فِیْهِ مِنْ رُّوْحِیْ فَقَعُوْا لَهٗ سٰجِدِیْنَ(۷۲)

And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him."

38:73

فَسَجَدَ الْمَلٰٓىٕكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ اَجْمَعُوْنَۙ(۷۳)

Then the angels bowed before him in a body,

38:74

اِلَّاۤ اِبْلِیْسَؕ-اِسْتَكْبَرَ وَ كَانَ مِنَ الْكٰفِرِیْنَ(۷۴)

Except Iblis. He was filled with pride and turned an unbeliever.

38:75

قَالَ یٰۤاِبْلِیْسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ اَنْ تَسْجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِیَدَیَّؕ-اَسْتَكْبَرْتَ اَمْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الْعَالِیْنَ(۷۵)

Said (God): "O Iblis, what hindered you from adoring what I created by My own authority? Are you too proud, or too high and mighty?"

38:76

قَالَ اَنَا خَیْرٌ مِّنْهُؕ-خَلَقْتَنِیْ مِنْ نَّارٍ وَّ خَلَقْتَهٗ مِنْ طِیْنٍ(۷۶)

He said: "I am better than he. You created me from fire, and him from clay."

38:77

قَالَ فَاخْرُ جْ مِنْهَا فَاِنَّكَ رَجِیْمٌۚۖ(۷۷)

(God) said: "Then go hence, ostracised.

38:78

وَّ اِنَّ عَلَیْكَ لَعْنَتِیْۤ اِلٰى یَوْمِ الدِّیْنِ(۷۸)

Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom."

38:79

قَالَ رَبِّ فَاَنْظِرْنِیْۤ اِلٰى یَوْمِ یُبْعَثُوْنَ(۷۹)

He said: "O Lord, give me respite till the day the dead rise from their graves."

38:80

قَالَ فَاِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنْظَرِیْنَۙ(۸۰)

(God) said: "You have the respite
