Surah Nuh

نُوْ ح
28 Ayaat    مکیۃ


71:0
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful.
71:1
اِنَّاۤ اَرْسَلْنَا نُوْحًا اِلٰى قَوْمِهٖۤ اَنْ اَنْذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ یَّاْتِیَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِیْمٌ(۱)
SENT NOAH to his people to warn them before the painful punishment came upon them.
71:2
قَالَ یٰقَوْمِ اِنِّیْ لَكُمْ نَذِیْرٌ مُّبِیْنٌۙ(۲)
He said: "O my people, I warn you clearly
71:3
اَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ وَ اتَّقُوْهُ وَ اَطِیْعُوْنِۙ(۳)
That you should worship God and fear Him, and follow me
71:4
یَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ مِّنْ ذُنُوْبِكُمْ وَ یُؤَخِّرْكُمْ اِلٰۤى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّىؕ-اِنَّ اَجَلَ اللّٰهِ اِذَا جَآءَ لَا یُؤَخَّرُۘ-لَوْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ(۴)
That He may forgive some of your sins and prolong your term till an appointed time. Surely when God´s appointed time is come it will not be put off, if only you knew!
71:5
قَالَ رَبِّ اِنِّیْ دَعَوْتُ قَوْمِیْ لَیْلًا وَّ نَهَارًاۙ(۵)
He said: "O Lord, I called my people night and day,
71:6
فَلَمْ یَزِدْهُمْ دُعَآءِیْۤ اِلَّا فِرَارًا(۶)
But the more I called, they only ran the farther away.
71:7
وَ اِنِّیْ كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوْۤا اَصَابِعَهُمْ فِیْۤ اٰذَانِهِمْ وَ اسْتَغْشَوْا ثِیَابَهُمْ وَ اَصَرُّوْا وَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا اسْتِكْبَارًاۚ(۷)
And every time I called them that You may forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears, and covered themselves with their garments, and became wayward, and behaved with downright insolence.
71:8
ثُمَّ اِنِّیْ دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَارًاۙ(۸)
Then I called them loudly and more openly,
71:9
ثُمَّ اِنِّیْۤ اَعْلَنْتُ لَهُمْ وَ اَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ اِسْرَارًاۙ(۹)
And declared to them in public and in private,
71:10
فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوْا رَبَّكُمْؕ-اِنَّهٗ كَانَ غَفَّارًاۙ(۱۰)
And I told them: ´Ask your Lord to forgive you. He is verily forgiving.
71:11
یُّرْسِلِ السَّمَآءَ عَلَیْكُمْ مِّدْرَارًاۙ(۱۱)
He will send you abundant rain from the sky,
71:12
وَّ یُمْدِدْكُمْ بِاَمْوَالٍ وَّ بَنِیْنَ وَ یَجْعَلْ لَّكُمْ جَنّٰتٍ وَّ یَجْعَلْ لَّكُمْ اَنْهٰرًاؕ(۱۲)
And will give you increase of wealth and sons, and give you gardens and springs of water.
71:13
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَرْجُوْنَ لِلّٰهِ وَقَارًاۚ(۱۳)
What has come upon you that you do not fear the majesty of God,
71:14
وَ قَدْ خَلَقَكُمْ اَطْوَارًا(۱۴)
Knowing that He has created you by various stages?
71:15
اَلَمْ تَرَوْا كَیْفَ خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ سَبْعَ سَمٰوٰتٍ طِبَاقًاۙ(۱۵)
Do you not see how God has fashioned seven skies one above the other,
71:16
وَّ جَعَلَ الْقَمَرَ فِیْهِنَّ نُوْرًا وَّ جَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ سِرَاجًا(۱۶)
And has placed the moon therein, an illumination, and has placed the sun, a lighted lamp?
71:17
وَ اللّٰهُ اَنْۢبَتَكُمْ مِّنَ الْاَرْضِ نَبَاتًاۙ(۱۷)
God produced you from the earth like a vegetable growth;
71:18
ثُمَّ یُعِیْدُكُمْ فِیْهَا وَ یُخْرِجُكُمْ اِخْرَاجًا(۱۸)
He will then return you back to it, and bring you out again.
71:19
وَ اللّٰهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْاَرْضَ بِسَاطًاۙ(۱۹)
God has made the earth for you a spreading,
71:20
لِّتَسْلُكُوْا مِنْهَا سُبُلًا فِجَاجًا۠(۲۰)
So that you may walk upon its spacious paths.´
71:21
قَالَ نُوْحٌ رَّبِّ اِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِیْ وَ اتَّبَعُوْا مَنْ لَّمْ یَزِدْهُ مَالُهٗ وَ وَلَدُهٗۤ اِلَّا خَسَارًاۚ(۲۱)
But they did not listen to me," Noah said, "and followed him whose wealth and children only added to his ruin.
71:22
وَ مَكَرُوْا مَكْرًا كُبَّارًاۚ(۲۲)
And they contrived a plot of great magnitude,
71:23
وَ قَالُوْا لَا تَذَرُنَّ اٰلِهَتَكُمْ وَ لَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّا وَّ لَا سُوَاعًا ﳔ وَّ لَا یَغُوْثَ وَ یَعُوْقَ وَ نَسْرًاۚ(۲۳)
And said: ´Do not abandon your gods, and do not abandon Wadda or Suwa´, or Yaghuth, Ya´uq or Nasr.´
71:24
وَ قَدْ اَضَلُّوْا كَثِیْرًا ﳛ وَ لَا تَزِدِ الظّٰلِمِیْنَ اِلَّا ضَلٰلًا(۲۴)
And they misled many. So do not give the evil-doers increase but in error.
71:25
مِمَّا خَطِیْٓــٴٰـتِهِمْ اُغْرِقُوْا فَاُدْخِلُوْا نَارًا ﳔ فَلَمْ یَجِدُوْا لَهُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ اَنْصَارًا(۲۵)
They were drowned because of their habitual sinfulness, and sent to Hell, and did not find any helper other than God.
71:26
وَ قَالَ نُوْحٌ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرْ عَلَى الْاَرْضِ مِنَ الْكٰفِرِیْنَ دَیَّارًا(۲۶)
Noah said: "O Lord, do not leave a single habitation of unbelievers on the earth.
71:27
اِنَّكَ اِنْ تَذَرْهُمْ یُضِلُّوْا عِبَادَكَ وَ لَا یَلِدُوْۤا اِلَّا فَاجِرًا كَفَّارًا(۲۷)
If you leave them, they will lead Your creatures astray, and beget but iniquitous and ungrateful offspring.
71:28
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِیْ وَ لِوَالِدَیَّ وَ لِمَنْ دَخَلَ بَیْتِیَ مُؤْمِنًا وَّ لِلْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنٰتِؕ-وَ لَا تَزِدِ الظّٰلِمِیْنَ اِلَّا تَبَارًا۠(۲۸)
O Lord, forgive me, my parents, and any one who enters my house as a believer, and all believing men and women, and do not give the evil-doers increase save in ruin.
