اَلزِّلْزَال

99:0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful.

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

99:1

اِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْاَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَاۙ(۱)

WHEN THE WORLD is shaken up by its cataclysm,

When earth is shaken with a mighty shaking

99:2

وَ اَخْرَجَتِ الْاَرْضُ اَثْقَالَهَاۙ(۲)

And the earth throws out its burdens,

and earth brings forth her burdens,

99:3

وَ قَالَ الْاِنْسَانُ مَا لَهَاۙ(۳)

And man enquires: "What has come over it?"

and Man says., 'What ails her?'

99:4

یَوْمَىٕذٍ تُحَدِّثُ اَخْبَارَهَاۙ(۴)

That day it will narrate its annals,

upon that day she shall tell her tidings

99:5

بِاَنَّ رَبَّكَ اَوْحٰى لَهَاؕ(۵)

For your Lord will have commanded it.

for that her Lord has inspired her.

99:6

یَوْمَىٕذٍ یَّصْدُرُ النَّاسُ اَشْتَاتًا ﳔ لِّیُرَوْا اَعْمَالَهُمْؕ(۶)

That day people will proceed separately to be shown their deeds.

Upon that day men shall issue in scatterings to see their works,

99:7

فَمَنْ یَّعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَیْرًا یَّرَهٗؕ(۷)

Whosoever has done even an atom´s weight of good will behold it;

and whoso has done an atom's weight of good shall see it,

99:8

وَ مَنْ یَّعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا یَّرَهٗ۠(۸)

And whosoever has done even an atom´s weight of evil will behold that.

and whoso has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it.
