اَلرُّوْم
60 Ayaat    مکیۃ


30:0
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful.
30:1
الٓمّٓۚ(۱)
ALIF LAM MIM.
30:2
غُلِبَتِ الرُّوْمُۙ(۲)
The Romans have been conquered
30:3
فِیْۤ اَدْنَى الْاَرْضِ وَ هُمْ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَیَغْلِبُوْنَۙ(۳)
In the neighbouring land. But having been conquered they will conquer
30:4
فِیْ بِضْعِ سِنِیْنَ۬ؕ-لِلّٰهِ الْاَمْرُ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَ مِنْۢ بَعْدُؕ-وَ یَوْمَىٕذٍ یَّفْرَحُ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَۙ(۴)
In a few years (less than ten). God´s is the imperative first and last. On that day the believers will rejoice
30:5
بِنَصْرِ اللّٰهِؕ-یَنْصُرُ مَنْ یَّشَآءُؕ-وَ هُوَ الْعَزِیْزُ الرَّحِیْمُۙ(۵)
In the help of God. He helps whom He will; He is all-mighty, ever-merciful.
30:6
وَعْدَ اللّٰهِؕ-لَا یُخْلِفُ اللّٰهُ وَعْدَهٗ وَ لٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا یَعْلَمُوْنَ(۶)
It is a promise of God; and God does not go back on His promise. Yet most men do not understand:
30:7
یَعْلَمُوْنَ ظَاهِرًا مِّنَ الْحَیٰوةِ الدُّنْیَا ۚۖ-وَ هُمْ عَنِ الْاٰخِرَةِ هُمْ غٰفِلُوْنَ(۷)
They only know the palpable life of this world, and are oblivious of the Hereafter.
30:8
اَوَ لَمْ یَتَفَكَّرُوْا فِیْۤ اَنْفُسِهِمْ- مَا خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضَ وَ مَا بَیْنَهُمَاۤ اِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَ اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّىؕ-وَ اِنَّ كَثِیْرًا مِّنَ النَّاسِ بِلِقَآئِ رَبِّهِمْ لَكٰفِرُوْنَ(۸)
Do they not think for themselves that God did not create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them without reason and a determined purpose? But many men reject the meeting with their Lord.
30:9
اَوَ لَمْ یَسِیْرُوْا فِی الْاَرْضِ فَیَنْظُرُوْا كَیْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِیْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْؕ-كَانُوْۤا اَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَّ اَثَارُوا الْاَرْضَ وَ عَمَرُوْهَاۤ اَكْثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوْهَا وَ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَیِّنٰتِؕ-فَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ لِیَظْلِمَهُمْ وَ لٰكِنْ كَانُوْۤا اَنْفُسَهُمْ یَظْلِمُوْنَؕ(۹)
Have they not travelled on the earth and seen how the others before them had met their end? They were far more powerful than them, furrowed the earth and colonised it far more than they; and their apostles came to them with visible signs. It was surely not for God to wrong them, they wronged themselves.
30:10
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَاقِبَةَ الَّذِیْنَ اَسَآءُوا السُّوْٓ اٰۤى اَنْ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰیٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَ كَانُوْا بِهَا یَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ۠(۱۰)
Therefore evil was the end of those who did evil, for they denied the signs of God and made fun of them.
30:11
اَللّٰهُ یَبْدَؤُا الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ یُعِیْدُهٗ ثُمَّ اِلَیْهِ تُرْجَعُوْنَ(۱۱)
God originates creation, and then will revert it, then you will go back to Him.
30:12
وَ یَوْمَ تَقُوْمُ السَّاعَةُ یُبْلِسُ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ(۱۲)
The day the Resurrection comes the sinners will be overwhelmed with despair.
30:13
وَ لَمْ یَكُنْ لَّهُمْ مِّنْ شُرَكَآىٕهِمْ شُفَعٰٓؤُا وَ كَانُوْا بِشُرَكَآىٕهِمْ كٰفِرِیْنَ(۱۳)
No intercessor will they have among those they associated (with God), and will reject their partners.
30:14
وَ یَوْمَ تَقُوْمُ السَّاعَةُ یَوْمَىٕذٍ یَّتَفَرَّقُوْنَ(۱۴)
The day the Hour comes they will be separated into categories.
30:15
فَاَمَّا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فَهُمْ فِیْ رَوْضَةٍ یُّحْبَرُوْنَ(۱۵)
Those who believed and did the right will be feasted in a rich, well-watered meadow.
30:16
وَ اَمَّا الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰیٰتِنَا وَ لِقَآئِ الْاٰخِرَةِ فَاُولٰٓىٕكَ فِی الْعَذَابِ مُحْضَرُوْنَ(۱۶)
Those who did not believe and rejected Our signs and the meeting in the Hereafter, will be given over to punishment.
30:17
فَسُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ حِیْنَ تُمْسُوْنَ وَ حِیْنَ تُصْبِحُوْنَ(۱۷)
So extol God when the evening comes and the day dawns,
30:18
وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ وَ عَشِیًّا وَّ حِیْنَ تُظْهِرُوْنَ(۱۸)
For His is the praise in the heavens and the earth, -- and at nightfall and the time of noon.
30:19
یُخْرِ جُ الْحَیَّ مِنَ الْمَیِّتِ وَ یُخْرِ جُ الْمَیِّتَ مِنَ الْحَیِّ وَ یُحْیِ الْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَاؕ-وَ كَذٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُوْنَ۠(۱۹)
He brings the living from the dead, the dead from the living, and quickens the earth after it had died. So will you be brought forth (from the dead).
30:20
وَ مِنْ اٰیٰتِهٖۤ اَنْ خَلَقَكُمْ مِّنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ اِذَاۤ اَنْتُمْ بَشَرٌ تَنْتَشِرُوْنَ(۲۰)
Among His signs is that He created you from the earth, and you are now human beings dispersed everywhere.
30:21
وَ مِنْ اٰیٰتِهٖۤ اَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مِّنْ اَنْفُسِكُمْ اَزْوَاجًا لِّتَسْكُنُوْۤا اِلَیْهَا وَ جَعَلَ بَیْنَكُمْ مَّوَدَّةً وَّ رَحْمَةًؕ-اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰیٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ یَّتَفَكَّرُوْنَ(۲۱)
Another of His signs is that He created mates of your own kind of yourselves so that you may get peace of mind from them, and has put love and compassion between you. Verily there are signs in this for those who reflect.
30:22
وَ مِنْ اٰیٰتِهٖ خَلْقُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ وَ اخْتِلَافُ اَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَ اَلْوَانِكُمْؕ-اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰیٰتٍ لِّلْعٰلِمِیْنَ(۲۲)
Among other signs of His is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variety of your tongues and complexions. Surely there are signs in this for those who understand.
30:23
وَ مِنْ اٰیٰتِهٖ مَنَامُكُمْ بِالَّیْلِ وَ النَّهَارِ وَ ابْتِغَآؤُكُمْ مِّنْ فَضْلِهٖؕ-اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰیٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ یَّسْمَعُوْنَ(۲۳)
Another of His signs is the night, a time for you to sleep, and the day to seek His bounty. Verily there are signs in this for those who pay heed.
30:24
وَ مِنْ اٰیٰتِهٖ یُرِیْكُمُ الْبَرْقَ خَوْفًا وَّ طَمَعًا وَّ یُنَزِّلُ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَیُحْیٖ بِهِ الْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَاؕ-اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰیٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ یَّعْقِلُوْنَ(۲۴)
Another of His signs is the lightning He shows to fill you both with dread and hope, and the water He sends down from the sky which reawakens the earth that was dead. There are indeed signs in this for those who have sense.
30:25
وَ مِنْ اٰیٰتِهٖۤ اَنْ تَقُوْمَ السَّمَآءُ وَ الْاَرْضُ بِاَمْرِهٖؕ-ثُمَّ اِذَا دَعَاكُمْ دَعْوَةً ﳓ مِّنَ الْاَرْضِ اِذَاۤ اَنْتُمْ تَخْرُجُوْنَ(۲۵)
Another of His signs is that the heavens and the earth stay in position by His command; and then when He will call you once you will come out of the earth.
30:26
وَ لَهٗ مَنْ فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِؕ-كُلٌّ لَّهٗ قٰنِتُوْنَ(۲۶)
All those who are in the heavens and the earth are His, and they are all obedient to Him.
30:27
وَ هُوَ الَّذِیْ یَبْدَؤُا الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ یُعِیْدُهٗ وَ هُوَ اَهْوَنُ عَلَیْهِؕ-وَ لَهُ الْمَثَلُ الْاَعْلٰى فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِۚ-وَ هُوَ الْعَزِیْزُ الْحَكِیْمُ۠(۲۷)
It is He who first creates and then reverts it. This is how His law works inevitably. His semblance is of the most sublime in the heavens and the earth. He is all-mighty and all-wise.
30:28
ضَرَبَ لَكُمْ مَّثَلًا مِّنْ اَنْفُسِكُمْؕ-هَلْ لَّكُمْ مِّنْ مَّا مَلَكَتْ اَیْمَانُكُمْ مِّنْ شُرَكَآءَ فِیْ مَا رَزَقْنٰكُمْ فَاَنْتُمْ فِیْهِ سَوَآءٌ تَخَافُوْنَهُمْ كَخِیْفَتِكُمْ اَنْفُسَكُمْؕ-كَذٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْاٰیٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ یَّعْقِلُوْنَ(۲۸)
He gives you an example from your own life: Do you possess among your dependants any partners in what We have bestowed on you, so that you and they have equal (share) in it, and that you fear them as you fear each other? That is how We explain Our signs clearly for those who comprehend.
30:29
بَلِ اتَّبَعَ الَّذِیْنَ ظَلَمُوْۤا اَهْوَآءَهُمْ بِغَیْرِ عِلْمٍۚ-فَمَنْ یَّهْدِیْ مَنْ اَضَلَّ اللّٰهُؕ-وَ مَا لَهُمْ مِّنْ نّٰصِرِیْنَ(۲۹)
And yet the wicked follow their own lusts without understanding. Who can show the way to those whom God allows to go astray? None will they have to help them.
30:30
فَاَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّیْنِ حَنِیْفًاؕ-فِطْرَتَ اللّٰهِ الَّتِیْ فَطَرَ النَّاسَ عَلَیْهَاؕ-لَا تَبْدِیْلَ لِخَلْقِ اللّٰهِؕ-ذٰلِكَ الدِّیْنُ الْقَیِّمُۗۙ-وَ لٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا یَعْلَمُوْنَۗۙ(۳۰)
So keep yourself exclusively on the true way, the creational law of God according to which He created man with the quality of choosing right or wrong. There is no altering of God´s creation. This is the supreme law. But most men do not understand.
30:31
مُنِیْبِیْنَ اِلَیْهِ وَ اتَّقُوْهُ وَ اَقِیْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَ لَا تَكُوْنُوْا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِیْنَۙ(۳۱)
Turn towards Him and be dutiful to Him; be firm in devotion, and do not become an idolater,
30:32
مِنَ الَّذِیْنَ فَرَّقُوْا دِیْنَهُمْ وَ كَانُوْا شِیَعًاؕ-كُلُّ حِزْبٍۭ بِمَا لَدَیْهِمْ فَرِحُوْنَ(۳۲)
(Or) one of those who created rifts in their order and are divided into sects, with each group exulting in what it has (carved out for itself) --
30:33
وَ اِذَا مَسَّ النَّاسَ ضُرٌّ دَعَوْا رَبَّهُمْ مُّنِیْبِیْنَ اِلَیْهِ ثُمَّ اِذَاۤ اَذَاقَهُمْ مِّنْهُ رَحْمَةً اِذَا فَرِیْقٌ مِّنْهُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ یُشْرِكُوْنَۙ(۳۳)
When misfortune befalls men they pray to their Lord and turn to Him; but afterwards when He has given them a taste of His benevolence a section of them begins to ascribe compeers to their Lord
30:34
لِیَكْفُرُوْا بِمَاۤ اٰتَیْنٰهُمْؕ-فَتَمَتَّعُوْاٙ-فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ(۳۴)
So as to deny what We have given them. Please yourselves for a time; you will come to know soon.
30:35
اَمْ اَنْزَلْنَا عَلَیْهِمْ سُلْطٰنًا فَهُوَ یَتَكَلَّمُ بِمَا كَانُوْا بِهٖ یُشْرِكُوْنَ(۳۵)
Have We sent down a charter to them which mentions what they associate with Him?
30:36
وَ اِذَاۤ اَذَقْنَا النَّاسَ رَحْمَةً فَرِحُوْا بِهَاؕ-وَ اِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَیِّئَةٌۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ اَیْدِیْهِمْ اِذَا هُمْ یَقْنَطُوْنَ(۳۶)
When We give men a taste of Our benevolence they start rejoicing in it. When misfortune befalls them as a result of what they have done themselves, they begin to despair.
30:37
اَوَ لَمْ یَرَوْا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ یَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ یَّشَآءُ وَ یَقْدِرُؕ-اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰیٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ یُّؤْمِنُوْنَ(۳۷)
Do they not see God increases or decreases the means of whosoever He please? Verily there are signs in this for those who believe.
30:38
فَاٰتِ ذَا الْقُرْبٰى حَقَّهٗ وَ الْمِسْكِیْنَ وَ ابْنَ السَّبِیْلِؕ-ذٰلِكَ خَیْرٌ لِّلَّذِیْنَ یُرِیْدُوْنَ وَجْهَ اللّٰهِ٘-وَ اُولٰٓىٕكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُوْنَ(۳۸)
So, give their share to the relatives, the needy, and the wayfarers. This is best for those who seek the way that leads to God, and they will be successful.
30:39
وَ مَاۤ اٰتَیْتُمْ مِّنْ رِّبًا لِّیَرْبُوَاۡ فِیْۤ اَمْوَالِ النَّاسِ فَلَا یَرْبُوْا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِۚ-وَ مَاۤ اٰتَیْتُمْ مِّنْ زَكٰوةٍ تُرِیْدُوْنَ وَجْهَ اللّٰهِ فَاُولٰٓىٕكَ هُمُ الْمُضْعِفُوْنَ(۳۹)
What you give on interest to increase (your capital) through others´ wealth, does not find increase with God; yet what you give (in alms and charity) with a pure heart, seeking the way of God, will be doubled.
30:40
اَللّٰهُ الَّذِیْ خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ یُمِیْتُكُمْ ثُمَّ یُحْیِیْكُمْؕ-هَلْ مِنْ شُرَكَآىٕكُمْ مَّنْ یَّفْعَلُ مِنْ ذٰلِكُمْ مِّنْ شَیْءٍؕ-سُبْحٰنَهٗ وَ تَعٰلٰى عَمَّا یُشْرِكُوْنَ۠(۴۰)
It is God who created you, then gave you sustenance, then He will make you die, and bring you back to life. Is there one among those you associate with Him who can do the least of these things? Too high and exalted is He for what they associate with Him!
