Surah ar-Rahman
اَلرَّحْمٰن
78 Ayaat مکیۃ
یُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ بِسِیْمٰىهُمْ فَیُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِیْ وَ الْاَقْدَامِۚ(۴۱)
The sinners will be recognised by their marks, and seized by the forelock and their feet.
(For) the sinners will be known by their marks: and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet.
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(۴۲)
Which of the favours of your Lord will you then deny?
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
هٰذِهٖ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِیْ یُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُوْنَۘ(۴۳)
This is Hell the sinners called a lie.
This is the Hell which the Sinners deny:
یَطُوْفُوْنَ بَیْنَهَا وَ بَیْنَ حَمِیْمٍ اٰنٍۚ(۴۴)
They will go round and around between it and boiling water.
In its midst and in the midst of boiling hot water will they wander round!
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ۠(۴۵)
Which of the favours of your Lord will you then deny?
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
وَ لِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهٖ جَنَّتٰنِۚ(۴۶)
But for him who lived in awe of the sublimity of his Lord, there will be two gardens --
But for such as fear the time when they will stand before (the Judgment Seat of) their Lord, there will be two Gardens-
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۙ(۴۷)
How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);-
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(۴۹)
Which of the favours of your Lord will you then deny? --
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
In them (each) will be two Springs flowing (free);
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(۵۱)
Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny?
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
فِیْهِمَا مِنْ كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجٰنِۚ(۵۲)
In both of them there will be every kind of fruits in pairs. --
In them will be Fruits of every kind, two and two.
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(۵۳)
Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
مُتَّكِـٕیْنَ عَلٰى فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآىٕنُهَا مِنْ اِسْتَبْرَقٍؕ-وَ جَنَا الْجَنَّتَیْنِ دَانٍۚ(۵۴)
Reclining there on carpets lined with brocade, fruits of the garden hanging low within reach.
They will recline on Carpets, whose inner linings will be of rich brocade: the Fruit of the Gardens will be near (and easy of reach).
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(۵۵)
How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny?
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فِیْهِنَّ قٰصِرٰتُ الطَّرْفِۙ-لَمْ یَطْمِثْهُنَّ اِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَ لَا جَآنٌّۚ(۵۶)
In them maidens with averted glances, undeflowered by man or by jinn before them, --
In them will be (Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;-
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۚ(۵۷)
Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
Like unto Rubies and coral.
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(۵۹)
Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny?
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
هَلْ جَزَآءُ الْاِحْسَانِ اِلَّا الْاِحْسَانُۚ(۶۰)
Should the reward of goodness be aught else but goodness? --
Is there any Reward for Good - other than Good?
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(۶۱)
How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
And besides these two, there are two other Gardens,-
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۙ(۶۳)
Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
Dark-green in colour (from plentiful watering).
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۚ(۶۵)
How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
In them (each) will be two Springs pouring forth water in continuous abundance:
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(۶۷)
How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فِیْهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَّ نَخْلٌ وَّ رُمَّانٌۚ(۶۸)
With fruits in them, and dates and pomegranates --
In them will be Fruits, and dates and pomegranates:
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۚ(۶۹)
How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
In them will be fair (Companions), good, beautiful;-
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۚ(۷۱)
How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? --
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;-
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۚ(۷۳)
How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? --
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
لَمْ یَطْمِثْهُنَّ اِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَ لَا جَآنٌّۚ(۷۴)
Undeflowered by man or by jinn before them, --
Whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;-
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۚ(۷۵)
How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
مُتَّكِـٕیْنَ عَلٰى رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَّ عَبْقَرِیٍّ حِسَانٍۚ(۷۶)
Reclining on green cushions and rich carpets excellent.
Reclining on green Cushions and rich Carpets of beauty.
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(۷۷)
How many favours of your Lord will you then deny?
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
