اَلنَّازِعَات

46 Ayaat مکیۃ

79:0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful.

79:1

وَ النّٰزِعٰتِ غَرْقًاۙ(۱)

I CALL TO WITNESS those who dive and drag,

79:2

وَّ النّٰشِطٰتِ نَشْطًاۙ(۲)

And those who undo the bonds gently,

79:3

وَّ السّٰبِحٰتِ سَبْحًاۙ(۳)

And those who glide swimmingly,

79:4

فَالسّٰبِقٰتِ سَبْقًاۙ(۴)

Then outpace the others swiftly

79:5

فَالْمُدَبِّرٰتِ اَمْرًاۘ(۵)

And direct affairs by command,

79:6

یَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الرَّاجِفَةُۙ(۶)

The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively

79:7

تَتْبَعُهَا الرَّادِفَةُؕ(۷)

Followed by the second blast,

79:8

قُلُوْبٌ یَّوْمَىٕذٍ وَّاجِفَةٌۙ(۸)

Hearts will pound loudly on that day,

79:9

اَبْصَارُهَا خَاشِعَةٌۘ(۹)

Eyes be lowered in submission.

79:10

یَقُوْلُوْنَ ءَاِنَّا لَمَرْدُوْدُوْنَ فِی الْحَافِرَةِؕ(۱۰)

They say: "Shall we go back to our original state

79:11

ءَاِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا نَّخِرَةًؕ(۱۱)

After having turned to carious bones?"

79:12

قَالُوْا تِلْكَ اِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌۘ(۱۲)

They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss."

79:13

فَاِنَّمَا هِیَ زَجْرَةٌ وَّاحِدَةٌۙ(۱۳)

It will only be a single blast,

79:14

فَاِذَا هُمْ بِالسَّاهِرَةِؕ(۱۴)

And they will wake up suddenly.

79:15

هَلْ اَتٰىكَ حَدِیْثُ مُوْسٰىۘ(۱۵)

Has the story of Moses come to you

79:16

اِذْ نَادٰىهُ رَبُّهٗ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًىۚ(۱۶)

When his Lord called to him in Tuwa´s holy vale?

79:17

اِذْهَبْ اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ اِنَّهٗ طَغٰى٘ۖ(۱۷)

"Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory,

79:18

فَقُلْ هَلْ لَّكَ اِلٰۤى اَنْ تَزَكّٰىۙ(۱۸)

And say: ´Would you like to grow (in virtue)?

79:19

وَ اَهْدِیَكَ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشٰىۚ(۱۹)

Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.´"

79:20

فَاَرٰىهُ الْاٰیَةَ الْكُبْرٰى٘ۖ(۲۰)

So he showed him the greater sign;

79:21

فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصٰى٘ۖ(۲۱)

But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed.

79:22

ثُمَّ اَدْبَرَ یَسْعٰى٘ۖ(۲۲)

Then he turned away, deliberating,

79:23

فَحَشَرَ فَنَادٰى٘ۖ(۲۳)

And assembled (his council) and proclaimed,

79:24

فَقَالَ اَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الْاَعْلٰى٘ۖ(۲۴)

Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all."

79:25

فَاَخَذَهُ اللّٰهُ نَكَالَ الْاٰخِرَةِ وَ الْاُوْلٰىؕ(۲۵)

So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world.

79:26

اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّمَنْ یَّخْشٰى(۲۶)ﮒ

Truly there is a lesson in this for those who fear (the consequences).

79:27

ءَاَنْتُمْ اَشَدُّ خَلْقًا اَمِ السَّمَآءُؕ-بَنٰىهَاٙ(۲۷)

Are you more difficult to create or the heavens? He built it,

79:28

رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوّٰىهَاۙ(۲۸)

Raised it high, proportioned it,

79:29

وَ اَغْطَشَ لَیْلَهَا وَ اَخْرَ جَ ضُحٰىهَا۪(۲۹)

Gave darkness to its night, and brightness to its day;

79:30

وَ الْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ دَحٰىهَاؕ(۳۰)

And afterwards spread out the earth.

79:31

اَخْرَ جَ مِنْهَا مَآءَهَا وَ مَرْعٰىهَا۪(۳۱)

He brought out its water and its pastures from it,

79:32

وَ الْجِبَالَ اَرْسٰىهَاۙ(۳۲)

And stabilized the mountains

79:33

مَتَاعًا لَّكُمْ وَ لِاَنْعَامِكُمْؕ(۳۳)

As convenience for you and your cattle.

79:34

فَاِذَا جَآءَتِ الطَّآمَّةُ الْكُبْرٰى٘ۖ(۳۴)

When the great calamity comes,

79:35

یَوْمَ یَتَذَكَّرُ الْاِنْسَانُ مَا سَعٰىۙ(۳۵)

The day when man remembers all that he had done,

79:36

وَ بُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِیْمُ لِمَنْ یَّرٰى(۳۶)

And Hell made visible to him who can see,

79:37

فَاَمَّا مَنْ طَغٰىۙ(۳۷)

Then he who had been rebellious

79:38

وَ اٰثَرَ الْحَیٰوةَ الدُّنْیَاۙ(۳۸)

And who preferred the life of the world,

79:39

فَاِنَّ الْجَحِیْمَ هِیَ الْمَاْوٰىؕ(۳۹)

Will surely have Hell for his abode.

79:40

وَ اَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهٖ وَ نَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوٰىۙ(۴۰)

But he who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained his self from vain desires,
