106:0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

106:1

لِاِیْلٰفِ قُرَیْشٍۙ(۱)

SINCE THE QURAISH have been united,

For the covenants (of security and safeguard enjoyed) by the Quraish,

106:2

اٖلٰفِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ الشِّتَآءِ وَ الصَّیْفِۚ(۲)

United to fit out caravans winter and summer,

Their covenants (covering) journeys by winter and summer,-

106:3

فَلْیَعْبُدُوْا رَبَّ هٰذَا الْبَیْتِۙ(۳)

Let them worship the Lord of this House,

Let them adore the Lord of this House,

106:4

الَّذِیْۤ اَطْعَمَهُمْ مِّنْ جُوْ عٍ ﳔ وَّ اٰمَنَهُمْ مِّنْ خَوْفٍ۠(۴)

Who provided them against destitution and gave them security against fear.

Who provides them with food against hunger, and with security against fear (of danger).
