اَلْمُرْسَلٰت

50 Ayaat مکیۃ

77:0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful.

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

77:1

وَ الْمُرْسَلٰتِ عُرْفًاۙ(۱)

I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively,

By the loosed ones successively

77:2

فَالْعٰصِفٰتِ عَصْفًاۙ(۲)

And those that strike violently,

storming tempestuously

77:3

وَّ النّٰشِرٰتِ نَشْرًاۙ(۳)

And those that revive by quickening,

by the scatterers scattering

77:4

فَالْفٰرِقٰتِ فَرْقًاۙ(۴)

And those that distinguish distinctly,

and the severally severing

77:5

فَالْمُلْقِیٰتِ ذِكْرًاۙ(۵)

And those that bring down the Reminder

and those hurling a reminder

77:6

عُذْرًا اَوْ نُذْرًاۙ(۶)

To end all argument or to warn.

excusing or warning,

77:7

اِنَّمَا تُوْعَدُوْنَ لَوَاقِعٌؕ(۷)

What is promised will surely come to pass.

surely that which you are promised is about to fall!

77:8

فَاِذَا النُّجُوْمُ طُمِسَتْۙ(۸)

When the stars are obliterated,

When the stars shall be extinguished,

77:9

وَ اِذَا السَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْۙ(۹)

The heavens split asunder,

when heaven shall be split

77:10

وَ اِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْۙ(۱۰)

The mountains reduced to dust and blown away,

when the mountains shall be scattered

77:11

وَ اِذَا الرُّسُلُ اُقِّتَتْؕ(۱۱)

And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) --

and when the Messengers' time is set,

77:12

لِاَیِّ یَوْمٍ اُجِّلَتْؕ(۱۲)

For what day is that time fixed?

to what day shall they be delayed?

77:13

لِیَوْمِ الْفَصْلِۚ(۱۳)

The Day of Judgement.

To the Day of Decision.

77:14

وَ مَاۤ اَدْرٰىكَ مَا یَوْمُ الْفَصْلِؕ(۱۴)

How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is?

And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision?

77:15

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ(۱۵)

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Woe that day unto those who cry it lies!

77:16

اَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْاَوَّلِیْنَؕ(۱۶)

Have We not destroyed the earlier generations?

Did We not destroy the ancients,

77:17

ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْاٰخِرِیْنَ(۱۷)

So shall We make the later ones to follow them.

and then follow them with the later folk?

77:18

كَذٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِیْنَ(۱۸)

That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime.

So We serve the sinners.

77:19

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ(۱۹)

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Woe that day unto those who cry it lies!

77:20

اَلَمْ نَخْلُقْكُّمْ مِّنْ مَّآءٍ مَّهِیْنٍۙ(۲۰)

Did We not create you from contemptible water?

Did We not create you of a mean water,

77:21

فَجَعَلْنٰهُ فِیْ قَرَارٍ مَّكِیْنٍۙ(۲۱)

Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb)

that We laid within a sure lodging

77:22

اِلٰى قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُوْمٍۙ(۲۲)

For a certain appointed time,

till a known term decreed?

77:23

فَقَدَرْنَا ﳓ فَنِعْمَ الْقٰدِرُوْنَ(۲۳)

Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate!

We determined; excellent determiners are We.

77:24

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ(۲۴)

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Woe that day unto those who cry it lies!

77:25

اَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْاَرْضَ كِفَاتًاۙ(۲۵)

Have We not made the earth a repository

Made We not the earth to be a housing

77:26

اَحْیَآءً وَّ اَمْوَاتًاۙ(۲۶)

For the living and the dead,

for the living and for the dead?

77:27

وَّ جَعَلْنَا فِیْهَا رَوَاسِیَ شٰمِخٰتٍ وَّ اَسْقَیْنٰكُمْ مَّآءً فُرَاتًاؕ(۲۷)

And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink?

Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water?

77:28

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ(۲۸)

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Woe that day unto those who cry it lies!

77:29

اِنْطَلِقُوْۤا اِلٰى مَا كُنْتُمْ بِهٖ تُكَذِّبُوْنَۚ(۲۹)

"Go to what you used to deny;

Depart to that you cried was lies!

77:30

اِنْطَلِقُوْۤا اِلٰى ظِلٍّ ذِیْ ثَلٰثِ شُعَبٍۙ(۳۰)

Go to the shadow with three ramifications,

Depart to a triple-massing shadow

77:31

لَّا ظَلِیْلٍ وَّ لَا یُغْنِیْ مِنَ اللَّهَبِؕ(۳۱)

Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire.

unshading against the blazing flame

77:32

اِنَّهَا تَرْمِیْ بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِۚ(۳۲)

It will throw out sparks as logs of wood

that shoots sparks like dry faggots,

77:33

كَاَنَّهٗ جِمٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌؕ(۳۳)

So like golden camels."

sparks like to golden herds.

77:34

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ(۳۴)

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Woe that day unto those who cry it lies!

77:35

هٰذَا یَوْمُ لَا یَنْطِقُوْنَۙ(۳۵)

They will not be able to speak that day,

This is the day they shall not speak

77:36

وَ لَا یُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَیَعْتَذِرُوْنَ(۳۶)

Nor given leave to make excuses.

neither be given leave, and excuse themselves.

77:37

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ(۳۷)

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Woe that day unto those who cry it lies!

77:38

هٰذَا یَوْمُ الْفَصْلِۚ-جَمَعْنٰكُمْ وَ الْاَوَّلِیْنَ(۳۸)

That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations).

'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients;

77:39

فَاِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ كَیْدٌ فَكِیْدُوْنِ(۳۹)

So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it.

if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!'

77:40

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ۠(۴۰)

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Woe that day unto those who cry it lies!
