اَلَّيْل

21 Ayaat مکیۃ

92:0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

92:1

وَ الَّیْلِ اِذَا یَغْشٰىۙ(۱)

I CALL THE night to witness when it covers over,

By the Night as it conceals (the light);

92:2

وَ النَّهَارِ اِذَا تَجَلّٰىۙ(۲)

And the day when it shines in all its glory,

By the Day as it appears in glory;

92:3

وَ مَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَ الْاُنْثٰۤىۙ(۳)

And Him who created the male and female,

By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;-

92:4

اِنَّ سَعْیَكُمْ لَشَتّٰىؕ(۴)

That your endeavour is for different ends.

Verily, (the ends) ye strive for are diverse.

92:5

فَاَمَّا مَنْ اَعْطٰى وَ اتَّقٰىۙ(۵)

Yet he who gives to others and has fear,

So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah),

92:6

وَ صَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنٰىۙ(۶)

And affirms goodness,

And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,-

92:7

فَسَنُیَسِّرُهٗ لِلْیُسْرٰىؕ(۷)

We shall ease the way of fortune for him.

We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss.

92:8

وَ اَمَّا مَنْۢ بَخِلَ وَ اسْتَغْنٰىۙ(۸)

But he who does not give and is unconcerned,

But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient,

92:9

وَ كَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنٰىۙ(۹)

And rejects goodness,

And gives the lie to the best,-

92:10

فَسَنُیَسِّرُهٗ لِلْعُسْرٰىؕ(۱۰)

For him We shall ease the way of adversity,

We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Misery;

92:11

وَ مَا یُغْنِیْ عَنْهُ مَالُهٗۤ اِذَا تَرَدّٰىؕ(۱۱)

And his riches will not avail him when he falls headlong (into the Abyss).

Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit).

92:12

اِنَّ عَلَیْنَا لَلْهُدٰى٘ۖ(۱۲)

It is indeed for Us to show the way,

Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide,

92:13

وَ اِنَّ لَنَا لَلْاٰخِرَةَ وَ الْاُوْلٰى(۱۳)

And to Us belong the End and the Beginning.

And verily unto Us (belong) the End and the Beginning.

92:14

فَاَنْذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظّٰىۚ(۱۴)

So, I warn you of the blazing Fire.

Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely;

92:15

لَا یَصْلٰىهَاۤ اِلَّا الْاَشْقَىۙ(۱۵)

No one will burn in it but the most wretched,

None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones

92:16

الَّذِیْ كَذَّبَ وَ تَوَلّٰىؕ(۱۶)

Who denied (the truth) and turned away.

Who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs.

92:17

وَ سَیُجَنَّبُهَا الْاَتْقَىۙ(۱۷)

But save him who fears

But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,-

92:18

الَّذِیْ یُؤْتِیْ مَالَهٗ یَتَزَكّٰىۚ(۱۸)

And gives of his wealth that he may grow in virtue,

Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification,

92:19

وَ مَا لِاَحَدٍ عِنْدَهٗ مِنْ نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزٰۤىۙ(۱۹)

And is under no one´s obligation to return his favour,

And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return,

92:20

اِلَّا ابْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْاَعْلٰىۚ(۲۰)

Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high,

But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High;

92:21

وَ لَسَوْفَ یَرْضٰى۠(۲۱)

Will surely be gratified.

And soon will they attain (complete) satisfaction.
