اَلْاِنْشِقَاق

25 Ayaat مکیۃ

84:0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

84:1

اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْشَقَّتْۙ(۱)

WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder,

When the sky is rent asunder,

84:2

وَ اَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَ حُقَّتْۙ(۲)

And hearkens to its Lord and is dutiful,

And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord, and it must needs (do so);-

84:3

وَ اِذَا الْاَرْضُ مُدَّتْۙ(۳)

When the earth is stretched out taut

And when the earth is flattened out,

84:4

وَ اَلْقَتْ مَا فِیْهَا وَ تَخَلَّتْۙ(۴)

And throws out whatever it contains and is empty,

And casts forth what is within it and becomes (clean) empty,

84:5

وَ اَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَ حُقَّتْؕ(۵)

And hearkens to its Lord and is dutiful,

And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord,- and it must needs (do so);- (then will come Home the full reality).

84:6

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الْاِنْسَانُ اِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلٰقِیْهِۚ(۶)

O man, you have to strive and go on striving towards your Lord, then will you meet Him.

O thou man! Verily thou art ever toiling on towards thy Lord- painfully toiling,- but thou shalt meet Him.

84:7

فَاَمَّا مَنْ اُوْتِیَ كِتٰبَهٗ بِیَمِیْنِهٖۙ(۷)

And he who is given his ledger in his right hand

Then he who is given his Record in his right hand,

84:8

فَسَوْفَ یُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا یَّسِیْرًاۙ(۸)

Will have an easy reckoning,

Soon will his account be taken by an easy reckoning,

84:9

وَّ یَنْقَلِبُ اِلٰۤى اَهْلِهٖ مَسْرُوْرًاؕ(۹)

And will return to his people full of joy.

And he will turn to his people, rejoicing!

84:10

وَ اَمَّا مَنْ اُوْتِیَ كِتٰبَهٗ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهٖۙ(۱۰)

But he who is given his ledger from behind his back

But he who is given his Record behind his back,-

84:11

فَسَوْفَ یَدْعُوْا ثُبُوْرًاۙ(۱۱)

Will pray for death,

Soon will he cry for perdition,

84:12

وَّ یَصْلٰى سَعِیْرًاؕ(۱۲)

But will be roasted in the fire.

And he will enter a Blazing Fire.

84:13

اِنَّهٗ كَانَ فِیْۤ اَهْلِهٖ مَسْرُوْرًاؕ(۱۳)

He lived rejoicing among his people,

Truly, did he go about among his people, rejoicing!

84:14

اِنَّهٗ ظَنَّ اَنْ لَّنْ یَّحُوْرَۚۛ(۱۴)

Never thinking he will return.

Truly, did he think that he would not have to return (to Us)!

84:15

بَلٰۤىۚۛ-اِنَّ رَبَّهٗ كَانَ بِهٖ بَصِیْرًاؕ(۱۵)

Why not? His Lord was always watching him.

Nay, nay! for his Lord was (ever) watchful of him!

84:16

فَلَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِۙ(۱۶)

So indeed I call to witness the evening twilight,

So I do call to witness the ruddy glow of Sunset;

84:17

وَ الَّیْلِ وَ مَا وَسَقَۙ(۱۷)

And the night and all it gathers,

The Night and its Homing;

84:18

وَ الْقَمَرِ اِذَا اتَّسَقَۙ(۱۸)

And the moon when at the full,

And the Moon in her fullness:

84:19

لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَنْ طَبَقٍؕ(۱۹)

That you will climb from stage to stage.

Ye shall surely travel from stage to stage.

84:20

فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَۙ(۲۰)

So, wherefore do they not believe?

What then is the matter with them, that they believe not?-

84:21

وَ اِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَیْهِمُ الْقُرْاٰنُ لَا یَسْجُدُوْنَؕ۩(۲۱)

And when the Qur´an is recited to them do not bow in adoration?

And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate,

84:22

بَلِ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا یُكَذِّبُوْنَ٘ۖ(۲۲)

In fact the unbelievers disavow.

But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it).

84:23

وَ اللّٰهُ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا یُوْعُوْنَ٘ۖ(۲۳)

But God knows what they harbour in their breasts.

But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts)

84:24

فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ اَلِیْمٍۙ(۲۴)

So give them news of painful punishment,

So announce to them a Penalty Grievous,

84:25

اِلَّا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمْ اَجْرٌ غَیْرُ مَمْنُوْنٍ۠(۲۵)

Except those who believe and do the right: For them there is reward unending.

Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: For them is a Reward that will never fail.
