اَلْفَجْر

30 Ayaat مکیۃ

89:0

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful.

89:1

وَ الْفَجْرِۙ(۱)

I CALL TO witness the dawn

89:2

وَ لَیَالٍ عَشْرٍۙ(۲)

And the Ten Nights,

89:3

وَّ الشَّفْعِ وَ الْوَتْرِۙ(۳)

The multiple and the one,

89:4

وَ الَّیْلِ اِذَا یَسْرِۚ(۴)

The night as it advances,

89:5

هَلْ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِیْ حِجْرٍؕ(۵)

Is there not an evidence in this for those who have sense?

89:6

اَلَمْ تَرَ كَیْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍﭪ(۶)

Have you not seen what your Lord did to the ´Ad

89:7

اِرَمَ ذَاتِ الْعِمَادِﭪ(۷)

Of Eram with lofty pillars (erected as signposts in the desert),

89:8

الَّتِیْ لَمْ یُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِی الْبِلَادِﭪ(۸)

The like of whom were never created in the realm;

89:9

وَ ثَمُوْدَ الَّذِیْنَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِﭪ(۹)

And with Thamud who carved rocks in the valley;

89:10

وَ فِرْعَوْنَ ذِی الْاَوْتَادِﭪ(۱۰)

And the mighty Pharaoh

89:11

الَّذِیْنَ طَغَوْا فِی الْبِلَادِﭪ(۱۱)

Who terrorised the region,

89:12

فَاَكْثَرُوْا فِیْهَا الْفَسَادَﭪ(۱۲)

And multiplied corruption.

89:13

فَصَبَّ عَلَیْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍۚۙ(۱۳)

So your Lord poured a scourge of punishment over them.

89:14

اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِؕ(۱۴)

Your Lord is certainly in wait.

89:15

فَاَمَّا الْاِنْسَانُ اِذَا مَا ابْتَلٰىهُ رَبُّهٗ فَاَكْرَمَهٗ وَ نَعَّمَهٗ ﳔ فَیَقُوْلُ رَبِّیْۤ اَكْرَمَنِؕ(۱۵)

As for man, whenever his Lord tries him and then is gracious and provides good things for him, he says: "My Lord has been gracious to me."

89:16

وَ اَمَّاۤ اِذَا مَا ابْتَلٰىهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَیْهِ رِزْقَهٗ ﳔ فَیَقُوْلُ رَبِّیْۤ اَهَانَنِۚ(۱۶)

But when He tries him by restraining his means, he says: "My Lord despises me."

89:17

كَلَّا بَلْ لَّا تُكْرِمُوْنَ الْیَتِیْمَۙ(۱۷)

No. In fact you are not generous to the orphans,

89:18

وَ لَا تَحٰٓضُّوْنَ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِیْنِۙ(۱۸)

Nor do you urge one another to feed the poor,

89:19

وَ تَاْكُلُوْنَ التُّرَاثَ اَكْلًا لَّمًّاۙ(۱۹)

And you devour (others´) inheritance greedily,

89:20

وَّ تُحِبُّوْنَ الْمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّاؕ(۲۰)

And love wealth with all your heart.

89:21

كَلَّاۤ اِذَا دُكَّتِ الْاَرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّاۙ(۲۱)

Surely when We pound the earth to powder grounded, pounded to dust,

89:22

وَّ جَآءَ رَبُّكَ وَ الْمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّاۚ(۲۲)

And comes your Lord, and angels row on row,

89:23

وَ جِایْٓءَ یَوْمَىٕذٍۭ بِجَهَنَّمَ ﳔ یَوْمَىٕذٍ یَّتَذَكَّرُ الْاِنْسَانُ وَ اَنّٰى لَهُ الذِّكْرٰىؕ(۲۳)

And Hell is brought near, that day will man remember, but of what avail will then remembering be?

89:24

یَقُوْلُ یٰلَیْتَنِیْ قَدَّمْتُ لِحَیَاتِیْۚ(۲۴)

He will say: "Alas the woe! Would that I had sent ahead something in my life."

89:25

فَیَوْمَىٕذٍ لَّا یُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهٗۤ اَحَدٌۙ(۲۵)

None can punish as He will punish on that day,

89:26

وَّ لَا یُوْثِقُ وَ ثَاقَهٗۤ اَحَدٌؕ(۲۶)

And none can bind as He will bind.

89:27

یٰۤاَیَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَىٕنَّةُۗۖ(۲۷)

O you tranquil soul,

89:28

ارْجِعِیْۤ اِلٰى رَبِّكِ رَاضِیَةً مَّرْضِیَّةًۚ(۲۸)

Return to your Lord, well-pleased and well-pleasing Him.

89:29

فَادْخُلِیْ فِیْ عِبٰدِیْۙ(۲۹)

"Enter then among My votaries,

89:30

وَ ادْخُلِیْ جَنَّتِیْ۠(۳۰)

Enter then My garden."
