Surah ad-Dhariyat

اَلذّٰرِيـٰت

60 Ayaat مکیۃ

51:41

وَ فِیْ عَادٍ اِذْ اَرْسَلْنَا عَلَیْهِمُ الرِّیْحَ الْعَقِیْمَۚ(۴۱)

In ´Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them,

51:42

مَا تَذَرُ مِنْ شَیْءٍ اَتَتْ عَلَیْهِ اِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِیْمِؕ(۴۲)

Which turned everything it touched to ashes.

51:43

وَ فِیْ ثَمُوْدَ اِذْ قِیْلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوْا حَتّٰى حِیْنٍ(۴۳)

And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;"

51:44

فَعَتَوْا عَنْ اَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الصّٰعِقَةُ وَ هُمْ یَنْظُرُوْنَ(۴۴)

But they disobeyed the command of their Lord; so they were destroyed by a thunderbolt, and they could only gape,

51:45

فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوْا مِنْ قِیَامٍ وَّ مَا كَانُوْا مُنْتَصِرِیْنَۙ(۴۵)

And neither stand up nor defend themselves.

51:46

وَ قَوْمَ نُوْحٍ مِّنْ قَبْلُؕ-اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا قَوْمًا فٰسِقِیْنَ۠(۴۶)

(So had We destroyed) the people of Noah before them: They were surely a sinful people.

51:47

وَ السَّمَآءَ بَنَیْنٰهَا بِاَیْىدٍ وَّ اِنَّا لَمُوْسِعُوْنَ(۴۷)

We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse.

51:48

وَ الْاَرْضَ فَرَشْنٰهَا فَنِعْمَ الْمٰهِدُوْنَ(۴۸)

We spread the earth a carpet; what comfort We provide!

51:49

وَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَیْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَیْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُوْنَ(۴۹)

And We created pairs of everything that you may contemplate.

51:50

فَفِرُّوْۤا اِلَى اللّٰهِؕ-اِنِّیْ لَكُمْ مِّنْهُ نَذِیْرٌ مُّبِیْنٌۚ(۵۰)

So turn to God. I give you a clear warning from Him.

51:51

وَ لَا تَجْعَلُوْا مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهًا اٰخَرَؕ-اِنِّیْ لَكُمْ مِّنْهُ نَذِیْرٌ مُّبِیْنٌۚ(۵۱)

Do not set up another god with God. I give you a clear warning from Him.

51:52

كَذٰلِكَ مَاۤ اَتَى الَّذِیْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِّنْ رَّسُوْلٍ اِلَّا قَالُوْا سَاحِرٌ اَوْ مَجْنُوْنٌۚ(۵۲)

Even thus no apostle came to those before them but they said: "He is a sorcerer or a mad man."

51:53

اَتَوَاصَوْا بِهٖۚ-بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُوْنَۚ(۵۳)

Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people.

51:54

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَاۤ اَنْتَ بِمَلُوْمٍ(۵۴) ﱭ

Turn away from them. You will not be blamed.

51:55

وَّ ذَكِّرْ فَاِنَّ الذِّكْرٰى تَنْفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ(۵۵)

But go on reminding them, as reminding benefits the believers.

51:56

وَ مَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَ الْاِنْسَ اِلَّا لِیَعْبُدُوْنِ(۵۶)

I have not created the jinns and men but to worship Me.

51:57

مَاۤ اُرِیْدُ مِنْهُمْ مِّنْ رِّزْقٍ وَّ مَاۤ اُرِیْدُ اَنْ یُّطْعِمُوْنِ(۵۷)

I want no sustenance from them nor do I want them to feed Me.

51:58

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِیْنُ(۵۸)

God is certainly the great provider, Lord of strength and power.

51:59

فَاِنَّ لِلَّذِیْنَ ظَلَمُوْا ذَنُوْبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوْبِ اَصْحٰبِهِمْ فَلَا یَسْتَعْجِلُوْنِ(۵۹)

Those who do wrong will indeed come to the same end as their fellows (of old). So let them not ask Me to hasten (the punishment).

51:60

فَوَیْلٌ لِّلَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ یَّوْمِهِمُ الَّذِیْ یُوْعَدُوْنَ۠(۶۰)

Alas the woe for those who refuse to believe in the Day which has been promised them.
