Surah ad-Dhariyat
اَلذّٰرِيـٰت
60 Ayaat مکیۃ
51:0
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful.
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the swift scatterers
surely that you are promised is true,
and surely the Doom is about to fall!
By heaven with all its tracks
surely you speak at variance,
and perverted therefrom are some.
Perish the conjecturers
who are dazed in perplexity
asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?'
Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire:
ذُوْقُوْا فِتْنَتَكُمْؕ-هٰذَا الَّذِیْ كُنْتُمْ بِهٖ تَسْتَعْجِلُوْنَ(۱۴)
(And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten."
'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.'
اِنَّ الْمُتَّقِیْنَ فِیْ جَنّٰتٍ وَّ عُیُوْنٍۙ(۱۵)
Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water,
Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains
اٰخِذِیْنَ مَاۤ اٰتٰىهُمْ رَبُّهُمْؕ-اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا قَبْلَ ذٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِیْنَؕ(۱۶)
Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this.
taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that.
Little of the night would they slumber,
and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness;
وَ فِیْۤ اَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّآىٕلِ وَ الْمَحْرُوْمِ(۱۹)
In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share.
and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth.
وَ فِی الْاَرْضِ اٰیٰتٌ لِّلْمُوْقِنِیْنَۙ(۲۰)
There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith,
In the earth are signs for those having sure faith;
and in your selves; what, do you not see?
وَ فِی السَّمَآءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَ مَا تُوْعَدُوْنَ(۲۲)
There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you.
And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised.
فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَآءِ وَ الْاَرْضِ اِنَّهٗ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَاۤ اَنَّكُمْ تَنْطِقُوْنَ۠(۲۳)
By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak.
So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as surely true as that you have speech.
هَلْ اَتٰىكَ حَدِیْثُ ضَیْفِ اِبْرٰهِیْمَ الْمُكْرَمِیْنَۘ(۲۴)
Has the story of Abraham´s honoured guests come to you?
Hast thou received the story of the honoured guests of Abraham?
اِذْ دَخَلُوْا عَلَیْهِ فَقَالُوْا سَلٰمًاؕ-قَالَ سَلٰمٌۚ-قَوْمٌ مُّنْكَرُوْنَۚ(۲۵)
When they came to him, they said: "Peace." He answered: "Peace." They were a people he did not recognise.
When they entered unto him, saying 'Peace!' he said 'Peace! You are a people unknown to me.'
فَرَاغَ اِلٰۤى اَهْلِهٖ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِیْنٍۙ(۲۶)
So he hurried to the house and brought a fatted calf,
Then he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf,
فَقَرَّبَهٗۤ اِلَیْهِمْ قَالَ اَلَا تَاْكُلُوْنَ٘(۲۷)
And placing it before them said: "Won´t you eat?"
and he laid it before them saying, 'Will you not eat?'
فَاَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِیْفَةًؕ-قَالُوْا لَا تَخَفْؕ-وَ بَشَّرُوْهُ بِغُلٰمٍ عَلِیْمٍ(۲۸)
He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son.
Then he conceived a fear of them. They said, 'Be not afraid!' And they gave him good tidings of a cunning boy.
فَاَقْبَلَتِ امْرَاَتُهٗ فِیْ صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَ قَالَتْ عَجُوْزٌ عَقِیْمٌ(۲۹)
His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?"
Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!'
قَالُوْا كَذٰلِكِۙ-قَالَ رَبُّكِؕ-اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الْحَكِیْمُ الْعَلِیْمُ(۳۰)
They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing."
They said, 'So says thy Lord; He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.'
قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ اَیُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُوْنَ(۳۱)
He said: "What is then your business, O messengers?"
Said he, 'And what is your business, envoys?'
قَالُوْۤا اِنَّاۤ اُرْسِلْنَاۤ اِلٰى قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِیْنَۙ(۳۲)
They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people
They said, 'We have been sent to a people of sinners,
to loose upon them stones of clay
مُّسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِیْنَ(۳۴)
Marked by your Lord for those who waste their substance."
marked with thy Lord for the prodigal.
فَاَخْرَجْنَا مَنْ كَانَ فِیْهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَۚ(۳۵)
So We evacuated everyone who was a believer there,
So We brought forth such believers as were in it,
فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِیْهَا غَیْرَ بَیْتٍ مِّنَ الْمُسْلِمِیْنَۚ(۳۶)
But did not find more than a single family of believers.
but We found not therein except one house of those that have surrendered themselves.
وَ تَرَكْنَا فِیْهَاۤ اٰیَةً لِّلَّذِیْنَ یَخَافُوْنَ الْعَذَابَ الْاَلِیْمَؕ(۳۷)
We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment,
And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement.
وَ فِیْ مُوْسٰۤى اِذْ اَرْسَلْنٰهُ اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطٰنٍ مُّبِیْنٍ(۳۸)
As (there was) in Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority.
And also in Moses, when We sent him unto Pharaoh, with a clear authority,
فَتَوَلّٰى بِرُكْنِهٖ وَ قَالَ سٰحِرٌ اَوْ مَجْنُوْنٌ(۳۹)
But he turned to his counsellors, and said: "He is a magician or lunatic."
but he turned his back, with his court, saying, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!'
